Our Themed Events are focused on transporting the guest to anywhere in the world through the use of colours, fabrics, textures and cuisine and relying less on the use of props.
At Conference Connections we realise that times are tough for companies and associations economically, such financial restraints coupled with the drive to build and improve upon our repertoire of creative and invigorating event productions has resulted in our design team coming up with new inventive ways of transforming a venue into a themed event. The theme is carried through every phase from the food and beverage, entertainment and most importantly dazzling décor within the welcome reception through to the gala evening. With the clever use of coloured linen textures and fabrics and fitting centrepieces, the theme can be achieved whilst also offering a refreshing variety of something for everyone among your guests.
An old classic, the black-and-white-theme is a perfect example. For the black and white theme here inspired by the company logo branding based colour scheme, black and white feather centrepieces were placed in tall, clean white vases and placed on the tables. Black pipe and drape was placed behind the stage set which was a white sea breeze design keeping the theme fluid. A black and white dance floor was incorporated into the gala evening décor creating synergie between day time and gala evening.
“We designed and built a white bar within the pre dinner drinks area, manned with staff dressed in black-and-white uniforms, and live art entertainers in black and white checks showing that we took the theme through to the smallest details,” Colette notes. .
“Communication and networking media are at the forefront of today’s company,” she notes. “There is a strong corporate message that needs to be communicated, and it needs to be done so in a fun and smart way.”
Other themed events include a Cannes Film festival themed event for an Irish corporate client whom Conference Connections organised their awards ceremony in Cannes. The event took place during the film festival and the ballroom was transformed into a Cannes Film festival for the awards ceremony with the use of opulent linen, red carpet, Palme D‚Or awards for winners and paparazzi who queued up to pap their idols!
